Chapter 6: Grip
Pro Tips (from the book!)
• Hold your club in your fingers, not the palms of your hands. Holding the club up in the air with the left hand into the thumbs-up position is an easy way to establish a good grip.
• The club should run through the first groove of your index finger.
• Doing the “handshake” with the right hand can be an effective way to set the right hand correctly in the fingers. Once the handshake is set in place, simply slide your right hand down until it reaches the left hand.
• Interlocking, overlapping, and 10-finger grips can all be effective.
• Your left thumb should be covered by the thumb pad of your right hand.
• The hands should be connected like a magnet, as you do not want them to pull apart during the swing.
• Grip pressure should be light!
